1. Overview: This website is operated by Lumi Candles. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Lumi Candles. By visiting our site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

2. Governing Law: These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

3. Products & Services

  • Handmade Nature: All our products are hand-poured in small batches in Sydney. As such, slight variations in color, scent, or finish may occur. These are not defects but rather the unique character of handmade items.

  • Natural Wax: Our use of natural Soy and Beeswax means you may see "frosting" (white crystal formation) or minor imperfections on the surface. This is a natural characteristic of pure wax and does not affect the burn quality.

  • Availability: Certain products (like our seasonal Christmas range) may have limited quantities and are subject to return or exchange only according to our Return Policy.

4. Safety & Liability: By purchasing a Lumi Candle, you acknowledge that you are purchasing a product that involves fire and heat. Safety is the sole responsibility of the user.

  • Usage: You agree to follow all safety instructions located on the warning label attached to the product and the "Candle Care" page on our website.

  • Sculptural Candles: You acknowledge that our sculptural candles (e.g., Trees,) are designed to drip. You agree to burn them only on a heat-resistant surface or tray.

  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumi Candles shall not be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind (including fire damage) arising from your use of our products, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the product, including user negligence or failure to follow safety instructions.

5. Accuracy of Billing & Account Information: We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or phone number provided at the time the order was made.

6. Pricing Prices for our products are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST (if applicable). Prices are subject to change without notice.

7. Intellectual Property All content on this site—including product names, photos, descriptions, and designs—is the intellectual property of Lumi Candles. You may not use our photos or text for commercial purposes without our express written permission.

8. Australian Consumer Law Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy implied or imposed by the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) which cannot be lawfully excluded or limited.
